Very conveniently situated in easy walking reach of the city centre and ideally placed for the tourist attractions. Food was also surprisingly good and staff were helpful and spoke good english
Efficient service, comfortable rooms and close to the Bayeux attractions and city. For once in a hotel in France, the room had tea/coffee making facilities - a necessity whilst travelling.
Very close to Bayeux centre
Wasy to find, close to the town centre and good parking.
No where to have a drink in a bar/lounge although info in room advertised bar lounge available. Drinks had to be taken back to room not allowed to drink them on terrasse next to dining area
Campanile Bayeux is a great choice for those wishing to visit the wwii beach sites. It's easy to find, very clean, has a good restaurant for breakfast (continental of course) and dinner. You can easily walk into Bayeux from the hotel and it is well positioned to get to other locations. The rooms are clean if a little on the small side but the bathroom and the shower has excellent pressure.
The Campanile Bayeux "ticked all the boxes" for us - well cared for, lovely garden, secure parking, clean, wi-fi, tea/coffee making facilities, and good choice of food for breakfast. Young man at reception was very friendly and helpful. It's also in an excellent location for access to the town and very quiet at night.
The position suited our requirements well. The free parking was a bous and important to our choice of stay. The site was attractive and well kept. For `no frills` the accommodation was good. The tea/coffee facilities. In UK these are automatically expected.
The accommodation was a little dated. No where comfortable to sit except own room which was quite small. The breakfast was disappointing. We took it first morning but chose not to again.
A good location close to the historic city centre. Helpful staff. Good parking.
Rooms are a little tired. The concept of motel style rooms accessed by an external corridors is a little dated. In this respect, Campanile loses out to hotels like Ibis which tend to be similarly priced but have an internal structure and lifts.
Campanile Bayeux was in a good location within walking distance of the town. Parking facilities were excellent, you could park right outside your room. The room had comfortable beds with lovely white duvets, ample storage and tea/coffee making facilities. The shower room was very clean with ample shelf space to store toiletries. A good place to stay for a few nights in Bayeux whilst exploring the area.
Perfect position for visiting the town, in a quiet location, food value for money
Super spot. We love Bayeaux and the whole area. We use the vet opposite so it´s very convenient for that. Obviously it´s dog friendly. We ate in Bayeux which is just a short walk away but the breakfast the following morning was really very nice, plenty of choice and a very pleasant ambiance before our trip to Caen.
It was convenient to the center of town which is where we were planning our activities. In particular it was a very managable walk to the excursion point for WWII excursions. The staff was able to make a call for us to get a taxi on Sunday morning to the train station.
The hotel has A/C but it was not working. I was told this was because they still had it set to winter as a heater, a somewhat dubious explanation. Unfortunately, the hotel room we were in faced west and received a lot of sunshine to the point where the door was radiating heat. The small window did not provide enough ventelation and you would need to allow any other guests to look right into your room to have it fully open. The door was very heavy and hard to prop open as well and the roll down wooden sunshade also blocked the flow of air. Overall the room was like an oven until the late hours of the night. Also, we put a Do Not Disturb sign on our door and left for the day. When we retruned, the sign was removed and the room had been cleaned and straightened up. I consider that somehting of an invasion of privacy, though in France perhaps this is considered normal.
This hotel was perfect for me. It was within walking distance of the city center, was quiet and had free parking. The room was very clean & comfortable with a nice bathroom. The staff was very helpful, especially the young man at the desk who pleasantly answered all of my questions. The best value is the extensive breakfast buffet. After eating here, you can spend most of the day without hunger pangs. Great selection of food! I would return here again and recommend it to anyone who weants value for their money.
It was clean and neat. It had coffee and tea making facilities which was great and the restaurant was good
A little small but then what can one expect with the budget. It was worth the price.
